I know they're not wearing riding gear, but I just wanted to draw them in their normal clothes, you know? They won't fall, I promise.
Just as the year changes, I've started getting a little more free time. Perfect to spend on a New Year's picture. :D Last year's was so terrible, I've learned my lesson. Rushing a drawing just so you can upload something in time for the new year just results in a disaster. I was upset last year's picture turned out so bad, so I definitely put some effort into this one.
Even though I don't do oekaki anymore, I tried to make the picture look like one of those old oekaki pictures. I noticed that I've forgotten a lot of my oekaki colouring tricks and techniques though... In the end, it didn't turn into a particularly beautiful drawing, but it certainly turned into a cheerful and light-hearted one; just the way I like it! :D

So of course, I had to make a Sun/Moon-related New Year's picture. I tried to include as many things that define Sun and Moon into this picture as possible: Poké Riding, Hau'Oli City, the Alola starters and characters and -- of course -- Hau with a malasada.
