It's been over two years since I wrote a journal entry. I just read through a handful of my old journals and remembered that I always embroidered a few links to photos into the text. It's funny seeing the pictures I showed two years ago. I wrote about the neighbours' adventurous young cat who occasionally popped in here through the window but always jumped right back out when I got too close to it. Well, we've "tamed" it now. She comes around every other day and sleeps in the house. She's basically become a rental pet. All the fun but none of the burdens. It's ideal!
Here's a picture of her sleeping on my lap.
A quick update on what I do these days: I'm now doing a one-year internship. I'm an intern in the urban planning team at a nearby municipality. It's got something to do with administrative law, but because administrative law differs so much between countries, it's hard to explain in English what exactly I do. I've now been an intern for three weeks and it's both very fun and very uncomfortable at times. It's still very stressful for me, but I hope it'll all become easier in time. Next year, I'll be able to choose a few
minors, which is exciting, and it's also my final year of college.
I've had a fantastic summer this year. I made plans beforehand and was able to fulfil most of them. One of the things I did was go to London with my family. London is amazing. I was there for only four days, so there's still so much left for me to see, but I visited all the spots that your average tourist goes to. I have only generic pictures that every other person also took though.
The Big Ben and
Tower Bridge, for example. I also went to a sushi restaurant with my sister. It's probably strange, but this was the first time I've been to a sushi restaurant. Guess what flavour of ice cream the
black scoop is. Near the end of summer, I went to a fairy tale-themed theme park. One of the most memorable things about it, however, was the water show at the end of the day. Although
this might not be the most exciting picture there is...
Finally, a little update on my art. Most of my art is made on oekaki boards. But as I improve and my drawings are becoming bigger and more detailed, oekaki's shortcomings are starting to show themselves. The applets start acting up when your file size gets too big. I'm wondering what I should do and I'm still undecided about it. I've tried drawing in proper art software a few times, but I'm so unused to it now. After having been an oekaki artist for years, it looks like I have to learn to use art software all over again. I'm really a bit worried about it. I guess there's no other way though.
Thanks for reading my update, especially since it's been so long since I last updated! I'd like to write new journals a little more frequently from now on.
