It's been over two years since I wrote a journal entry. I just read through a handful of my old journals and remembered that I always embroidered a few links to photos into the text. It's funny seeing the pictures I showed two years ago. I wrote about the neighbours' adventurous young cat who occasionally popped in here through the window but always jumped right back out when I got too close to it. Well, we've "tamed" it now. She comes around every other day and sleeps in the house. She's basically become a rental pet. All the fun but none of the burdens. It's ideal! Here's a picture of her sleeping on my lap.

A quick update on what I do these days: I'm now doing a one-year internship. I'm an intern in the urban planning team at a nearby municipality. It's got something to do with administrative law, but because administrative law differs so much between countries, it's hard to explain in English what exactly I do. I've now been an intern for three weeks and it's both very fun and very uncomfortable at times. It's still very stressful for me, but I hope it'll all become easier in time. Next year, I'll be able to choose a few minors, which is exciting, and it's also my final year of college.

I've had a fantastic summer this year. I made plans beforehand and was able to fulfil most of them. One of the things I did was go to London with my family. London is amazing. I was there for only four days, so there's still so much left for me to see, but I visited all the spots that your average tourist goes to. I have only generic pictures that every other person also took though. The Big Ben and Tower Bridge, for example. I also went to a sushi restaurant with my sister. It's probably strange, but this was the first time I've been to a sushi restaurant. Guess what flavour of ice cream the black scoop is. Near the end of summer, I went to a fairy tale-themed theme park. One of the most memorable things about it, however, was the water show at the end of the day. Although this might not be the most exciting picture there is...

Finally, a little update on my art. Most of my art is made on oekaki boards. But as I improve and my drawings are becoming bigger and more detailed, oekaki's shortcomings are starting to show themselves. The applets start acting up when your file size gets too big. I'm wondering what I should do and I'm still undecided about it. I've tried drawing in proper art software a few times, but I'm so unused to it now. After having been an oekaki artist for years, it looks like I have to learn to use art software all over again. I'm really a bit worried about it. I guess there's no other way though.

Thanks for reading my update, especially since it's been so long since I last updated! I'd like to write new journals a little more frequently from now on.

Vacation

2 min read
I walk into this room and the first thing I notice:
another cat in this room that isn't supposed to be here. :iconeyezoomfojlplz:
This one keeps walking around the desk and brushing its head against everything. I haven't even tried pushing it back out the window yet.

Also, I'm calling it: The Only NEET Thing To Do/Kamisama no Mamochou is going to be the next legend in anime. It's going to be a classic. If you ever wanted to follow an anime from day one, grab your chance now. Keep an eye on this page to download it. It airs every Saturday, except next Saturday because the first episode was twice the length of a normal episode. Or if you're set on streaming it, try here. IF IT'S ALL THE RAGE NEXT MONTH, YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST. (Watch the OP)

So, the reason I'm popping a quick journal out here is to tell everyone I'm going away for ten days. I'll be going to some middle-of-nowhere secluded cave with less than 1,500 population, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. It's going to be nice to just be away with family for a while and relax. And I get to draw lots and play pokémon, so it's all cool. Well, see you all later!

Aftershave

Rubbing aftershave into a shaving cut I didn't notice: :iconeyezoomfojlplz::iconfffuuuplz:
Blow-drying my nipples: :iconyeahplz:

There's this really shameless baby cat in the neighborhood that sometimes creeps in through my window. It usually gets cold feet when I approach it and it jumps back out, but yesterday, it learned I'm not gonna harm it and it just walked around the room. It was meowing all the time. So annoying. I picked it up and shoved it out the window, but it pushed back and just climbed back in before I could even close the window. And to top its own shamelessness, the little runt then settled on my chair.

I took my last exam yesterday. It didn't actually go that well... I'm a little worried I might not have passed it. But now's no time to be all worried--the week I spent restlessly studying is finally over! I've been so busy I haven't commented on people's work (my apologies to everyone at Bulbakaki!) and let my messages on deviantART pile up, so please allow me some time to respond to all your messages and comment on your deviations! I'll also finally have some time to draw again. I've been so much in the mood to draw. :iconcryforeverplz: Lessssgo, summer break. :iconcoolplz:

Firstly, because I had the most wonderful birthday two days ago. It was by far my biggest and most fun birthday online yet. I received 114 birthday wishes across three sites (I am a crazy man for counting) and 37 birthday pictures. I COULD NOT HAVE WISHED FOR A BETTER BIRTHDAY. Thank you guys so much for everything. I'll have great memories of this forever. I also saved all the pictures you made for me because I love them so much.

My offline birthday was pretty great too, starting off with receiving two great birthday gifts in the morning (my sister's cheek is stuffed with a cream puff in that picture). My parents gave me the money to buy Pokémon White with. My younger sister gave me a volume of this manga series I love. But even more than getting fun presents, I was looking forward to the dinner I was going to have later that night. Per tradition, we always visit my favourite Chinese restaurant on my birthday. (Look at me being all short and derpy.) They have SUCH WONDERFUL FOOD OH GOD. Just thinking about it makes my salivary glands work overtime. They also have a cute waitress. I had bamboo soup and Chinese fried pork in Yu Shiang (I don't for the life of me know how to translate Chinese to English.) (Extra: a picture of my mom's and sister's meals because they actually look more appetising than mine)

Yesterday was a bit of a nasty day- I went to clean the cat box and found out that there was a hole in the litter bag. So I had to go and wash the cat box in the bathtub, and I acidentally dropped the showerhead into the water and splashed myself with pee water. Then when I took a shower, the shower tube tore. I got hit in the face with water like a right slapstick comedy cartoon character.

To re-instigate my happy time, I got a text that same day (one day prior to the release date), telling me to come and pick up what is going to make me neglect my family for weeks. (Not really. I love my cats.) The moment I got that text, my sister and I ran out the house, hand-in-hand, running like madmen. It was great.
